Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis is a few months old now. We have been playing the game since launch and testing teams to figure out the best team formations to use in the game.
Ever Crisis has multiple different types of content players can engage with, but generally, the characters who are the best are going to perform the same in all of the content the game has available.
Since Ever Crisis gives you all of the characters in the game from the start, this makes team building pretty easy. Let's take a closer look.
The Best Team In Final Fantasy Ever Crisis
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is all about team building. Just like the main series, the game highly focuses on the way you build your team with weapons, Materia, armor, spells, and skills. These elements within are what make a character stand out.
Some attacks can only be used by specific characters, and that is a huge factor in deciding what team composition is the best.
Below, we are going to go over the best team for each type of content currently in the game.
Best Overall Team Formation In FFVII Ever
In every gacha game, you are going to be tasked with farming materials which you will then have to use to level up your characters and weapons.
Characters in Ever Crisis are different than most gacha games. Even if you don't have a 5 Star for the weapons a character uses, they will still outperform a character that they are on paper better than.
Cloud
Cloud is widely considered to be the best DPS in the game. The only true downside to his kit is that he doesn't deal any AOE damage and is solely a solo target attacker.
But what he lacks in AOE, he makes up with raw damage. He is amazing for any team and is going to be the best for any team that needs to melt enemies.
Cloud can also heal himself, which comes in clutch.
Zack
Zack is a powerhouse of a character who has a high attack stat, just like Cloud, ironically. What makes Zack amazing, though is he has AOE attacks, which can attack all of the enemies on the field.
He is able to use AOE attacks, which are elemental-based, while also using physically based attacks for solo targets. He's a wonderful partner for Cloud.
Aerith
Aerith is an important character overall for all types of content within the game. She is your pure support character who can heal and give shields to characters in the party.
Since the game's content is mostly focused on teams fighting larger bosses to get resources, the bosses can actually wipe parties in one or two hits.
So you will almost always need Aerith or one of the other supports in the game!
Barrett (Sub)
Barrett is another amazing character in the game, and you could potentially put him in the game in place of Zack.
While Barrett and Zack, on paper, behave the same by being amazing AOE damage dealers, Barrett has more of a leaning towards being a debuffer on top of being an amazing AOE attacker.
If you're finding yourself needing an extra oomph, then we highly recommend taking Barrett.
