99 Nights in the Forest is back again with its weekly updates, with the latest one releasing on September 13, 2025, adding a brand new biome, Volcanic, to the game.
The Volcanic biome will be replacing the Snow biome for two weeks after release, and then it will be added to the biome pool and will be random.
That said, just like the Snow biome, the Volcanic biome will feature some unique locations, crafting, materials, enemies, and other such things that you must know about.

How To Unlock And Reach The Volcanic Biome In 99 Nights In The Forest

You can unlock the new Volcanic biome in the game by simply leveling up your Fire Level. You spawn the biome, your Camp's Fire Level should be level 3 or more.

Once you start the game, chop down some wood and add them into the campfire.

Once it reaches, Level 2, based on the RNG, you should be able to see the edges of the Volcanic biome.


Since the update is not yet out at the time of writing, for reference, we have taken the Snow biome, which will be replaced by the Volcanic biome.

Once you Fire Level is 3 or more, you can explore the new Volcanic biome.
