Ask anyone what the best role-playing game of modern times is, and chances are they're going to say Elden Ring.

FromSoftware's atmospheric and combat-heavy title was released in 2022 to critical acclaim and near-universal praise from the gaming community. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game's combat sequences are tight, its dark fantasy world is incredibly immersive, and the experience, as a whole, has been labeled by many as one of a kind.

It is one of the best-selling games in the world, having sold over 30 million copies shortly after it was initially launched.

Now, the game is eyeing a release on the Nintendo Switch 2. The video game console will welcome the Tarnished Edition of Elden Ring, which includes the original game, the Shadow of Erdtree expansion, additional armor, and further customization options for the Torrent's appearance.

Elden Ring's Expected Launch Date for the Nintendo Switch 2

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is set to be launched on the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026.

Players can currently pre-order the game at the Nintendo Store. Doing so will enable players to pre-load the game, so they will be able to play the game immediately after the game is released.

The digital copy of Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will cost $79.99 for Nintendo Switch 2 players.

The Tarnished Edition of Elden Ring will stand as one of the heaviest games on the Nintendo Switch 2, as its game size is expected to be approximately 50 GB.

Should you choose to download the game, you will see at least 20% of your console's base storage space occupied. The Nintendo Switch 2's memory can be expanded with the aid of a microSD Express card. Any card, up to 2 TB, that meets the microSD Express standard for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Keep in mind that only microSD Express cards can be used, while microSD and microSDHC are not supported.
