A Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel Rivals is officially under development, Marvel Games Executive Producer Danny Koo confirmed in an interview with IGN.

We’re working on it, but when we have news, we’ll announce that one. […] We will do it [referring to the Switch 2 version].”

A release date and a development timeline were not disclosed.

This news did not come off as much of a surprise to the community, as Marvel Rivals' Producer Weicong Wu previously revealed during an interview in early 2025 that the team had made contact with Nintendo to work on development kits that could improve the game's performance should it ever be available on the Switch 2.

In an interview later that year, Marvel Rivals' Creative Director Guangyun Chen confirmed that a Switch 2 version of the game was still under consideration. Considering all these hints, it was understood by many players that the popular PvP third-person shooter would eventually land on Nintendo.

On a separate note, Koo shut down rumors of Marvel Rivals potentially making its way to either Android or iOS devices:

Yeah, this one on the mobile game is not going to work. If we're going to do a mobile, it's going to be a whole different game. Because of the feedback, the touch. The controls are just so different.

There are no plans to launch Marvel Rivals on mobile just yet, due to the complexities of the platform and the implications it will have on the gameplay. However, the door doesn't appear to be completely shut, so Marvel Rivals may come to mobile if circumstances allow it.

Marvel Rivals was first released in December 2024 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
