Rumblings have emerged as Monster Hunter Outlanders approaches its highly anticipated release date.
The Monster Hunter franchise has spent over two decades refining its signature action RPG style, known for its towering beasts and skill-based battles.
First launched by Capcom in 2004, the series built its reputation on strategic combat systems, massive boss encounters, and a satisfying gear-crafting grind.
Now, the latest installment in the franchise, Monster Hunter Outlanders, brings that core hunting experience to mobile. Designed as an open-world survival RPG, the game blends classic Monster Hunter combat with a UI and gameplay experience tailored for handheld devices.
Players explore expansive biomes, gather resources, build equipment, and team up to take on iconic monsters in real time.
Monster Hunter Outlanders, co-developed by Capcom and TiMi Studio Group, was initially revealed in late 2024 and has conducted various tests over the past year, with many believing a launch is on the cards in the near future.
Does Monster Hunter Outlanders Have A Release Date?
As of now, Monster Hunter Outlanders does not have an official global release date yet. The developers have only hinted at a launch potentially "coming soon" to iOS and Android devices.
The Closed Beta Test (CBT) phase of the game's development roadmap began in September 2025, with the first test having taken place in Japan, Canada, and the United States between November 27 and December 4, 2025. The second test began on April 29, 2026, and ended a month later.
These tests serve as a way for the developers to stress test the servers, fine-tune the gameplay, and implement device optimizations. The developers have already implemented the feedback they received from the first test.
The CBT phase also usually comes before a soft launch and a global launch. That said, it would not come as a surprise if Monster Hunter Outlanders were to be released in Q3 or Q4 of 2026.
How to Pre-register for Monster Hunter Outlanders
Players can currently pre-register for Monster Hunter Outlanders through the game's official website. There, all they have to do is enter their preferred email address and submit their registration form.
Those who sign up will receive the latest news and updates about the game. They will also be notified about any upcoming tests.
On top of all this, players who pre-register will receive milestone rewards immediately upon the game's launch. This includes:
