Nintendo has released its latest monthly backward compatibility update for the Nintendo Switch 2, which brings another wave of fixes for original Nintendo Switch games that previously experienced issues on the new hardware.

The June 2026 update continues the company's ongoing effort to improve compatibility across the Switch library, with several additional games now officially playable without known problems.

More Games Join The Switch 2's Fully Compatible List

The June 2026 update adds several more games to the growing list of titles that now function properly on the Switch 2 after receiving compatibility fixes.

According to Nintendo's latest compatibility information, the newly fixed games include:

  • Artifact Seekers
  • Landing Hero Haneda×787
  • Raiden IV x Mikado Remix
  • RICO
  • Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
  • Skateboard Drifting with Maxwell Cat: The Game Simulator
  • Strania - The Stella Machina EX

These titles previously encountered issues ranging from startup failures to gameplay problems, but have now been updated to run properly on Nintendo's newest console.

Other Games Being Worked On For The Switch 2

Since the Switch 2 launched, Nintendo has maintained an online compatibility database that tracks games with startup issues, gameplay bugs, or other technical problems. Rather than relying solely on system firmware updates, Nintendo has been working alongside publishers to release game-specific patches and platform fixes, gradually shrinking the list of incompatible titles.

As of the latest update, Bar Stella Abyss (facing audio issues) and Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook (also facing audio problems) continue to experience compatibility issues that prevent players from having a seamless gameplay experience.

Meanwhile, Drakkar Crew and Kiyo: Bunny Tyranny remain fully unsupported. This means players will be unable to play this game on the Nintendo Switch 2.
