The anime movie will be directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, a veteran who directed hit shows like Mob Psycho 100 and others, while also working on the Chainsaw Man Movie Storyboard.
While the rumours and leaks should be taken with a massive grain of salt, the chances of an Honkai Star Rail anime movie in the works are not far-fetched, as, according to some reports, the Chinese government in the past did reach out to HoYoverse to make "Shanghai more relevant in the film industry."
If the rumours are true, we may see a teaser or an official announcement on this during Honkai Star Rail's 2026 anniversary.
Also, while we haven't seen much of Genshin Impact anime ever since its last teaser, released back in 2022, followed by an official announcement of a long-term project for the same, there's still a possibility of multiple projects being in the works.
We are tracking this story and will share more updates on it once we have anything more tangible to share.
