A winner has been crowned for the first EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile live event in the Snapdragon Pro Series.
This past weekend marked a historic moment in esports as the first in-person EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile tournament of the Snapdragon Pro Series, the LATAM Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024, took place at the Komplexo Tempo in São Paulo, Brazil, between December 14 and 15.
The event, featuring the best players from across Latin America, showcased thrilling matches that captivated hundreds of attendees and almost 6,000 viewers online. All eyes were set on who would lift the trophy and the lion’s share of the prize pool.
In the end, Brazilian player Lucas “LUCASKKJ” emerged as the champion and secured himself the title and a USD $6,000 prize. He defeated Colombian player, STEVEN, in a tight best-of-five Grand Final match that ended 3-1.
STEVEN’s second-place finish positions him ahead of REISS06, who claimed third place. They earned USD $3,000 and USD $2,500 in prize money, respectively.
Representing soccer legend Ronaldinho Gaúcho’s R10 Team, LUCASKKJ’s victory was not only a personal achievement but also served as a testament to the growing synergy between traditional sports and esports.
The Snapdragon Pro Series, the world's largest multi-genre mobile esports competition organized by ESL FACEIT Group, recently welcomed EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile to its catalog of titles. Notably, it is the first sports title to be added to the ecosystem’s roster.
The LATAM Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024 served as the finale to the inaugural season of EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile in the Snapdragon Pro Series. The season was exclusive to players in Latin America, a region bursting with passionate soccer fans and a thriving community of mobile gamers.
