Wild Rift Patch 4.0b Balance Changes: Buffs, Nerfs, Adjustments

Here's a look at all the buffs, nerfs, and adjustments from Wild Rift patch 4.0b.

Riot has updated Wild Rift once again with a new batch of balance changes. Patch 4.0b builds upon the momentum left by the devs at the beginning of patch 4.0 when they aimed to make Tank items more effective and resilient.

With that in mind, the new balance changes largely focused on reducing some items' costs and slightly boosting their passives. But, that's not all. Champions also received key buffs, nerfs, and adjustments too. The standout changes include those that affected Jarvan IV, Yuumi, and Morgana.

Besides these buffs and nerfs, Zeri was finally added to the game. The 'Duel' game mode will also be made available in Wild Rift between February 23 and March 16.

Wild Rift Patch 4.0b - Champion Buffs

Jarvan IV, Miss Fortune, Senna, and Yasuo were buffed in patch 4.0b.

Here are the champion buffs in detail:

Jarvan IV
  • Golden Aegis cooldown reduced from 12 seconds → 10 seconds
  • Golden Aegis shield changed from '65/95/125/155 + 2.1/2.4/2.7/3% maximum health per enemy' → '80/120/160/200 + 1.6/1.9/2.2/2.5% maximum health per enemy champions hit'
Miss Fortune
  • Double Up base damage increased from 20/50/80/110 → 30/60/90/120
  • Piercing Darkness [NEW]: Enemies hit are slowed by 15% + 0.1% x bonus attack damage + 0.06% Ability Power for 0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds
  • Sweeping Blade target immunity cooldown reduced from 8 seconds → 8/7/6/5 seconds

Wild Rift Patch 4.0b - Champion Nerfs

Caitlyn, Camille, Yuumi, and Zed were nerfed in patch 4.0b.

Here is the champion nerfs in detail:

  • Base attack damage reduced from 58 → 54
  • Tactical Sweep outer edge recovery health ratio reduced from 50% → 40%
  • Tactical Sweep monster modification reduced from 100% → 50%
  • Prowling Projectile enhanced current health damage reduced from 1.5/3/4.5/6/7.5% → 2/3/4/5/6%
  • Prowling Projectile mana cost increased from 50 → 60
  • You and Me! passive adaptive force reduced from 13/15/17/19% → 8/11/14/17%


  • Shadow Slash [NEW]: Now deals 60% damage to monsters

Wild Rift Patch 4.0b - Champion Adjustments

Morgana was adjusted in patch 4.0b.

Here are the champion adjustments in detail:

  • Black Shield magic shield reduced from 80/150/220/290 + 60% Ability Power → 70/150/230/310 + 50% Ability Power
  • Black Shield cooldown reduced from 18/16/14/12 seconds → 16/14/12/10 seconds
  • Black Shield duration reduced from 5 seconds → 4 seconds

Wild Rift Patch 4.0b - System/Item Buffs

Banshee's Veil, Inspiration: Pathfinder, Locket Enchant, Randuin's Omen, Resolve: Second Wind, and Spirit Visage were buffed in patch 4.0b.

Here are the item buffs in detail:

Banshee's Veil
  • Total cost reduced from 3,000 gold → 2,800 gold
Inspiration: Pathfinder
  • Regenerates missing health/mana per second increased from 1% → 1.5%
Locket Enchant
  • Total cost reduced from 800 gold → 500 gold
Randuin's Omen
  • Pre-mitigation critical strike damage gained as Determination increased from 12% (melee)/8% (ranged) → 16% (melee)/10% (ranged)
Resolve: Second Wind
  • Missing health recovered over 5 seconds increased from 1.5% → 2%
  • Missing health recovered over 5 seconds for melee increased from 3% → 4%
Spirit Visage
  • Ability Haste increased from 10 → 20
  • Total cost reduced from 2,900 gold → 2,800 gold
