Brawl Stars Balance Changes (July 2023): Buffs, Nerfs & Adjustments

As Brawl Stars gears up for the upcoming season, a new set of balance changes have been released. Here's a look at all the buffs, nerfs, and adjustments.

Brawl Stars will be entering Season 19, the Enchanted Woods, in early July. To ensure that the game is well-adjusted and is welcoming of the two new brawlers, Cordelius and Doug, Supercell has introduced various balance changes to Brawl Stars.

Unlike balance changes of the past, Supercell has targeted an interesting aspect of the gameplay experience in the recent update that has not been altered in some time: Gadgets and Star Powers.

Supercell admitted there is an ongoing issue with the viability of certain brawlers' Gadgets and Star Powers. To remedy the situation, they have adjusted them in hopes of making them more useful in different builds and strategies.

Besides this, Maisie was buffed slightly while Hank was nerfed.

Here are the balance changes in detail:

Amber
  • Dancing Flames Gadget damage increased from 500 to 1,000.
Ash
  • Mad as Heck Star Power reload speed increased from 30% to 40%.
  • Rotten Banana Gadget stats adjusted from 40% lost health; 40% rage to 25% lost health; 40% rage.
Bea
  • Rattled Hive Gadget maximum damage increased from 600 to 1,000.
Belle
  • Grounded Star Power reload stop increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.
Bibi
  • Extra Sticky Gadget slow duration increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds.
Bonnie
  • Crash Test Gadget damage increased from 300 to 1,000.
Buster
  • Utility Belt Gadget healing increased from 500 to 750.
Carl
  • Heat Ejector Gadget damage increased from 1,200 to 2,000.
Dynamike
  • Fidget Spinner Gadget damage increased from 1,200 to 2,000.
Emz
  • Acid Spray Gadget damage penalty decreased from 20% to 10%.
Fang
  • Corn-fu Gadget damage increased from 500 to 750.
Gray
  • Fake Injury Star Power damage reduction at full HP increased from 25% to 50%.
Gus
  • Soul Switcher Gadget self-damage decreased from 15% to 5%.
Hank
  • It's Gonna Blow! Star Power move speed decreased from 20% to 10%.
  • Playerse can now see Hank in the bushes when he is charging his basic attack.
Lola
  • Sealed with a Kiss Star Power healing increased from 100 to 150.
Maisie
  • Basic projectile speed increased.
  • Reverse dash Disengage! Gadget direction.
  • Pinpoint Precision Star Power damage bonus increased from 10% to 20%
Mandy
  • Hard Candy Star Power damage reduction increased from 20% to 30%.
Mortis
  • Combo Spinner Gadget damage increased from 1,300 to 1,500.
Rico
  • Multiball Launcher Gadget damage increased from 320 to 800.
Sandy
  • Sleep Stimulator Gadget delay decreased from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
Spike
  • Fertilize Star Power healing increased from 800 to 1,000.
  • Popping Pincushion Gadget damage increased from 520 to 800.
Squeak
  • Chain Reaction Star Power damage increased from 10% to 20%.
