In this guide, we'll explain how each Event Modifier works in Brawl Stars and what effect they'll have on your match.

Brawl Stars is a pretty straightforward game. Jump into a match with your favorite Brawler, defeat enemies, and win the match. Sounds simple, right?
Sometimes, Supercell likes to spice the gameplay up a bit with the use of Event Modifiers. As the name might suggest, these usually come into play whenever there's a special in-game event. They can occasionally make an appearance in Map Maker, too.
Event Modifiers can alter the rules of the game (such as spawning collectible items) or influence the map layout (such as removing obstacles). Overall, they can heavily impact matches and make things a whole lot more fun.
All Event Modifiers in Brawl Stars
There are currently 16 Event Modifiers in Brawl Stars. We've explained how each one of them works in the table below:
Icon | Modifier | Description |
![]() | Classic | No modifier is active. The game follows the same rules as a regular match. |
![]() | Devastation Cloud | Poison Clouds will spawn on the map, which damages Brawlers and destroys obstacles. |
![]() | Energy Drinks | Items known as 'Energy Drinks' will spawn across the map. They will temporarily improve your damage output and movement speed (but not HP) when collected. You can collect as many Energy Drinks as you want to reset the effect time, but the buffs cannot be stacked. |
![]() | Fast Brawlers | All Brawlers have their movement speed increased. |
![]() | Graveyard Shift | This modifier will see all Brawlers, both allies and enemies, gradually lose HP. Healing abilities and effects will have their effectiveness reduced. The only way to heal yourself is to deal damage to enemies. Taking down an opponent will fully restore your HP. |
![]() | Healing Mushrooms | Large rings of healing mushrooms will temporarily appear throughout the game. As the game progresses, the rings will spawn more frequently. Standing inside these rings will heal your Brawler for 1,000 HP per second. |
![]() | Hyper Drop | Boxes will randomly spawn in the map. These contain Hypercharge boosters. |
![]() | Ice Age | From the start of the match, 20% of the map terrain will be turned to snow, which decreases movement speed when stepped on. Also, all water on the map will turn into ice. |
![]() | Instant Overtime | All obstacles and unbreakable items will immediately be removed at the start of the match. |
![]() | Meteor Shower | Meteors will rain down on the map throughout the match. These will deal massive amounts of damage to you and knock you back if you are hit by one of them. |
![]() | Robo Boss | Robo Boss, a powerful enemy NPC, will attack you and your allies. You will need to defeat it to win the match. |
![]() | Super Bushy | Throughout the match, bushes will grow at a rate of one tile in a random direction every 3 to 5 seconds. |
![]() | Super Charge | All Supers charge faster than normal. |
![]() | Top Dog | Healing is suspended while this modifier is active. The only way to regain HP is to collect Hot Dogs that randomly spawn on the map and get dropped when Brawlers are eliminated. The healing abilities and effects of certain Brawlers will still work. |
![]() | Toxic Arena | Poison Clouds will rapidly envelop the map at a rate of one tile every seven seconds. They will stop moving in when there are only 10x10 tiles left at the center of the map. |
![]() | Unlimited Power | Power Cubes will spawn where a Brawler is eliminated. When picked up, they buff your HP and damage stats. |
More Event Modifiers may be introduced in the future. In that case, we'll update this list.
How to Check if an Event Modifier Is Active

Event Modifiers are usually tied to specific game modes. This means you can find the Event Modifier icon shown next to the game mode. You can identify it by the icon that is displayed. If there are no Event Modifier icons shown, that means none are active for that particular game mode.
Take note that these Modifiers are only ever available whenever a limited-time event takes place in Brawl Stars, so keep an eye out for their appearance when events occur.
