Jae-yong is a strong Brawler who can have a massive impact in any game of Brawl Stars. In this guide, we'll show you his abilities and explain the best build you can use for him.

No other Brawler works and plays harder than the new Mythic Brawler, Jae-yong. He's described as an average office worker by day who likes to unleash his karaoke side at night – his skills in the latter being somewhat questionable by those around him.
Jae-yong is a Support Brawler. This means he possesses abilities that can both heal allies and buff teammates during battle. He's also quite potent at dealing damage on the battlefield. Altogether, he can serve as a strong backbone to any team-based game mode, such as Gem Grab and Heist.
The road to mastering a Brawler starts with understanding their abilities and, from there, crafting a build that optimizes their performance.
Main Attack & Super
Jae-yong is unique in the sense that he can switch between Work and Party Mode. This can influence his Main Attack.

For his Main Attack in both modes, Jae-yong fires piercing projectiles in a straight line. In Work Mode, his Main Attack deals less damage, but the projectiles create slipstreams that can give speed boosts to himself and his teammates.
In Jae-yong's Party Mode, he deals more damage, but his projectiles also heal teammates that they pass through.

His Super enables him to switch between Work and Party Mode. They also provide minor buffs. Switching to Work Mode gives all nearby teammates a temporary movement speed boost, while switching to Party Mode heals all nearby teammates.
Gadgets & Star Powers
Jae-yong has two Gadgets and Star Powers. He has no Hypercharge at the moment.
His Gadgets are as follows:
Icon | Gadget | Description |
![]() | Time for a Slow Song | Jae-yong slows enemies around him, and his attacks will leave trails of slowing paperwork for 5 seconds |
![]() | Weekend Warrior | Deals area damage and increases main attack damage for 5 seconds |
His Star Powers are as follows:
Icon | Star Power | Description |
![]() | Extra High Note | Main Attacks now deal an additional 20% Damage per target pierced. |
![]() | The Crowd Goes Mild | Being near teammates gives Jae-yong a 10% speed boost per teammate in range |
As usual, Gadgets cost 1,000 Coins while Star Powers cost 2,000 Coins.
Best Build for Jae-Yong in Brawl Stars

Jae-yong may be a Support Brawler, but he is also a decent damage dealer. A good build will play to these strengths while also improving his effectiveness in combat, the latter being a common shortcoming among Supports.
That said, the best build for Jae-yong is:
- Gear: Weekend Warrior
- Star Power: Extra High Note
- Gears: Damage and Shield
We chose the Weekend Warrior Gadget as it pairs nicely with Jae-yong's Party Mode. The instant area damage and 5-second damage buff means that he'll be able to deal more damage in 1v1s or other combat situations.
The Extra High Note Star Power was chosen because it buffs Jae-yong's Main Attack damage for an additional 20% per target pierced.
Finally, we recommend choosing the Damage and Shield Gears. Adding upon this damage-focused build, the Damage Gear allows Jae-yong to deal more damage when his HP falls below 50%. Meanwhile, the Shield Gear gives him additional HP to compensate for rather average max HP.
