Trunk's combat skills in Brawl Stars can be taken to the next level if you equip a strong build.
Hailing from the Enchanted Woods, Trunk is a mechanical tree that's controlled by a colony of super-intelligent ants. They are a part of the 'Enchanted Woods' Trio, alongside Cordelius and Lily.
Trunk is a Tank, which means they're a Brawler whose main strengths lie in their incredibly high HP and ability to comfortably lead the charge into battle. They can also perform decently well in close-quarter combat. However, they can be vulnerable to Artillery and Damage Dealer Brawlers.
It's these qualities and more that make Trunk strong against Assassins and Controllers. They excel in most game modes, especially team-based ones like Gem Grab or Brawl Ball. We'll explain everything else you need to know about them below.
Main Attack & Super
Trunk's Main Attack, Ant Attack, capitalizes on their army of ants. After a short delay, they spin in a circle, dealing damage to nearby enemies and dropping ants in the process. This Main Attack deals more damage to enemies who are on the edge of the circle than to those in the center.
With Trunk's Super, known as 'Driven by Revenge (and Ants),' they leap towards enemies. They will drop ants along the way and can bounce off walls.
Now, what do the ants do, you ask? Standing near ants gives Trunk a damage and movement speed boost. Pretty good, if you ask us!
Gadgets & Star Powers
Trunk has two Gadgets and Star Powers in his closet. They have no Hypercharge at the moment.
Their Gadgets are explained below:

Trunk's Star Powers are as follows:

Their Gadgets cost 1,000 Coins, while Trunk's Star Powers cost 2,000 Coins.
Best Build for Trunk in Brawl Stars
As Trunk is a Tank, it's only right that the best build leans into buffing their HP and making them an even more challenging Brawler to take down. The build is as follows:
- Gadget: Worker Ants
- Star Power: New Insect Overlords
- Gears: Health and Shield
Activating the Worker Ants Gadget gives Trunk a temporary shield, which will heal them for the same amount from the first source of damage. They will usually be the target of enemy attacks because of their high HP, so this Gadget was chosen to counter bursts of damage.
The New Insect Overlords Star Power complements Trunk's Tank role, as ants will also reduce incoming enemy damage by 15%. This is on top of them granting them movement speed and damage boosts.
The Health and Shield Gears were picked as they further build upon Trunk's ability to absorb damage. The Health Gear helps them recover HP 50% more effectively out of combat, while the Shield Gear gives them an extra 900 HP as a consumable Shield. If you want more damage output, you could swap out one of these with the Damage Gear.
