Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, these top squad combinations will help you dominate in Marvel Mystic Mayhem.

You're only given three precious character slots to form your ideal squad in Marvel Mystic Mayhem. Assembling a squad that synergizes well with one another's abilities and is powerful enough to vanquish enemies can be a tough decision to make.
With a growing roster of Heroes and Villains, knowing which characters work best together is key. In this guide, we'll give you a rundown of some squads that have proven to be incredibly effective in the current meta.
Best Teams in Marvel Mystic Mayhem
We've covered an array of different approaches to team-building. From offensive or defensive to more control-type lineups, we've got a 3-character roster for every type of player.
Balanced: Hulk, Iron Man & Spider-Man

This team is balanced, as it can defend against enemies and also go on the offensive quite well. It doesn't necessarily excel in any department, but if you're looking for a reliable team, then this is it.
Starting with the Hulk, he's a strong Defender who can absorb large amounts of enemy damage and self-heal at the front line of the squad.
On the other hand, Iron Man is a powerful Striker who can easily dish out consistent area-of-effect (AoE) damage from range. Spider-Man slides into this squad as someone whose abilities can help with crowd control and slow down targets.
Offensive: Iron Man, Psylocke & Scarlet Witch

Now, this is a damage-focused squad whose sole objective is to swiftly eliminate enemies before it's their turn to attack. However, as it leans heavily into damage-dealing, it lacks proper crowd control and defense capabilities, so it can struggle in multi-turn battles where durability is key.
Iron Man and Scarlet Witch are both Strikers who can unload burst AoE damage. They're especially useful for dealing ranged damage against enemies who you don't want to confront up close.
Meanwhile, Psylocke can lead the charge from the front of the squad due to her melee abilities. Deploy her against low HP enemies, as her devastating attacks can easily take them out.
Defensive: Doctor Strange, Hulk & Moon Knight

This defense-oriented squad excels at really controlling the tempo of the battle. It can soak up damage and gradually grind enemies down. But, as you might've guessed, it lacks the damage output.
Hulk is a must-have for this type of lineup simply because his high HP makes him the ultimate tank. He needs to be at the front of the team.
Lining up behind him is Moon Knight, who, as a Fighter, boasts solid durability and damage-dealing capabilities. Doctor Strange enters the squad as a Controller who can support the team with his utility abilities.
Control: Doctor Strange, Emma Frost & Psylocke

This control-minded squad wins through tempo and dictating play. The bad side of this lineup is that it demands a lot of skill, so this is just a fair warning if you want to take it on.
As a Fighter, Psylocke should line up at the front of the squad. Her assassin-style burst abilities enable her to quickly eliminate enemies and escape.
At the back of the squad are Doctor Strange and Emma Frost. They're both Controllers, so they play more of a supporting role for the team. Doctor Strange supports allies with his spells, while Emma Frost can use her AoE attacks to freeze foes.
F2P Beginner-Friendly: Armor, Hulk & Spider-Man

This lineup can be phenomenal for F2P players or beginners, as the characters' abilities are easy to understand, and the squad can be forgiving if you're still unsure about positioning. It lacks firepower, but it boasts good battlefield control.
Hulk is arguably the best Defender in Marvel Mystic Mayhem. He can hold his own at the front of the squad, and his high HP can tank loads of damage. Armor is also a Defender, but she's capable of dealing decent damage. Alternatively, you can swap out Armor for Psylocke.
Spider-Man is the character you rely on for crowd control, as he's a solid Controller. Use him to support your allies from behind and keep enemies at bay.
