Black Beacon is an action RPG and a gacha game where the different playable characters and weapons are one of the core elements of the game.
Similar to most gacha titles, Black Beacon features a variety of different rarity characters with unique skill sets and roles.
You can obtain these characters mainly from the standard banner and, of course, the limited-time banners.
On top of that, there are also some characters that you can get for free. This is all good, but since it is a gacha game, first, you cannot get every character as a free-to-play player.
Second, farming the upgrade and level-up materials is a big grind, and thus, it is best to only invest in characters who are good.

Our Black Beacon tier list is based on our time with the game's beta and the community's feedback and ranking for the different characters after the beta.
Apart from that, the characters' overall kit, utility, and skills application have also played a key role in their ranking.
Lastly, before we move to the tier list, remember that tier lists are highly subjective.
So, you may find a few characters that you think are not in appropriate tiers.
It is a very common occurrence, and we always encourage players to share their tier rankings in the comments.

S+ Tier
The characters in this tier are the best in their respective roles
- Ereshan
- Logos
S Tier
The characters in the S tier are almost on par with the S+ tier ones and are the best units in the entire game that are worth investing materials on:
- Nanna
- Zero
- Li Chi
- Florence
A Tier
The characters in A-tier are mostly comprised of the best four-star units whom you can use to clear the different content offered in the game:
- Asti
- Qing
- Ming
B Tier
The characters in B-tier are great, but as you progress, they are unable to keep up.
- Shamash
- Ninsar
- Enki
- Azi
C Tier
The characters in C-tier are good for the early game and clearing certain content.
But it is best not to over-invest in them, as they fall short in the latter part of the game
