There are 21 characters in the game's roster. We've ranked each one of them across five tiers.
What do these tiers mean? The S-tier is the highest ranking we award to a character. This means they're simply the best and most reliable pick for any duel and for any team composition. In the A-tier, you can find characters who have a remarkable skill set and are decent substitutes for those in the S-tier.
B-tier characters have a mix of both positive and negative traits, which makes them solid picks, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player. The C-tier houses characters who are underperforming in the current meta, but still can be called upon to deliver in the right deck. Finally, F-tier characters are arguably the least powerful characters in the entire game.

Best Characters in Chaos Zero Nightmare
The best characters you can currently use are Khalipe, Chizuru, and Renoa.
Khalipe is arguably the most powerful defensive character in Chaos Zero Nightmare. She can deal defense-based damage to enemies, increase her shield, and provide additional damage to each card in hand.
Moving on to Chizuru, she's a strong close-quarter combatant who can deal immense damage to enemies using her various attack moves, such as Susanoo Sword or Lunarfall.
Finally, Renoa is a ranged combatant who can easily inflict pain upon enemies thanks to her vast range of attack moves. She is the perfect pick if you're looking to rain fire from afar.
Worst Characters in Chaos Zero Nightmare
Owen is a Terrascion combatant who, unfortunately, ranks as the least powerful character in Chaos Zero Nightmare.
While he's not exactly 'bad', he simply falls short when you compare his attack moves and skills to other characters in the game's roster. Regardless, Owen can still hold his own during combat, but there are more powerful options out there.
