It's anniversary mode in the Pokémon universe, and with it, you can access a new feature in Pokémon GO to celebrate.

Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10th anniversary, while Pokémon, as a whole, is marking its 30th anniversary.
To commemorate this special occasion with the Pokémon GO community, a feature known as "What's Your Favorite?" will be available in the game.

It's a camera feature available to every Trainer, regardless of their level, that allows them to take photos with their favorite Pokémon — even if they haven't caught them yet.
How to Use The "What's Your Favorite" Feature in Pokémon GO
There are two ways to use "What's Your Favorite?" in the game: one is for new or returning players, and the other is for players who are already logged in.
For new or returning players, simply launch the game and select the "Take A Photo" button in the login page that appears after you enter your date of birth.
For players who are already logged into Pokémon GO, open the main menu and click the camera button. Then, select the "What's Your Favorite?" button to start using the feature.
Once you're in the "What's Your Favorite?" menu, simply take a photo of yourself or your friends, then customize your photo with any Pokémon frames and stickers.
Take Part in the Anniversary's Special Research
A Special Research will be available specifically for new Pokémon GO Trainers. All they have to do is use the "What's Your Favorite?" feature and then create an in-game account. Following that, they have to log in within three days of their account creation.
Completing this Special Research will reward Trainers with an encounter with Gengar, 100 PokéCoins, and other valuable items. Trainers will have until March 31, 2026, at 8 PM local time to claim this Special Research.
