In this article, we talk about whether you can combine Runes in The Forge.
Runes play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of equipment in The Forge.
From the very beginning, you can obtain Runes as rare drops from enemies and use them at the Runemaker, whom you unlock after doing the first few main quests.
Each Rune comes with a Trait and the Trait Level that defines the overall effectiveness of the Rune.
You can attach it to any equipment to add that Trait to the selected equipment.
However, since most Rune drops in the early game are basic ones, many players want to know whether you can combine these Runes to form a single one with different traits. If you are one such player, keep reading!
Is It Possible To Combine Runes In The Forge?
At the time of writing this article, you can only attach the Runes that you have obtained to the respective equipment's Rune Slot at the Runemaker.
You cannot combine two different Runes to make a more powerful variant.
For example, if you have two Runes, say Luck and Power, you can use them individually but cannot combine them to get a single Rune with both Luck and Power traits.
To attach a Rune, make sure your weapon is upgraded enough that it has Rune Slots.
You can upgrade your weapons at the Enhancer. Once done, make your way to the Runemaker and talk to him.
Select the dialogue option, "Yes. I'm here to craft some runes."
Select the equipment and attach the Runes available. For detaching the Runes, all you have to do is select the respective equipment.
Doing so will show a Detach button at the bottom right of the window, below Traits. Click on it and the Rune Slot will be available to use again.
