Netflix has greenlit an animated series based on the popular strategy game franchise from Supercell.

You heard that right – Netflix and Supercell are working together to bring the Finnish developer's CLASH universe to life on the big screen. And by big screen, we mean television screens rather than mobile screens.
For the uninitiated, the CLASH universe encompasses Supercell titles Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.
The animated series "will follow a determined but in-over-his-head Barbarian who must rally a band of misfits to defend their village and navigate the comically absurd politics of war."
Further details about the title of the series and its cast of characters have yet to be revealed. In a blog post from Supercell, the developers hinted that the show will feature comedic elements.
We’re not revealing the full story just yet — but expect everything you’d want from a CLASH series: epic, hilarious, and more than a little unhinged.
The team behind the series features Fletcher Moules, a director whose work has previously been seen in other CLASH animations, such as 2015's Super Bowl advertisement for Clash of Clans featuring Liam Neeson.
Ron Weiner, whose résumé includes work on sitcoms such as 30 Rock and Futurama, will serve as the series' Head Writer. Vancouver-based ICON Creative Studios will work on the show's animations.
No information was shared about a potential release date for the series.
