Supercell have released details about the massive overhaul that the Pass Royale in Clash Royale will undergo in the coming weeks.

You read that right – it's the end of an era for the Pass Royale. The incoming changes will be released to Clash Royale in early October (just in time for the start of the October season). This will leave the Pass Royale operating under a new reward system.
Supercell reasoned that this rework would simplify the Pass Royale experience for all players. The new system will also offer players, regardless of whether they have purchased the premium or free track, the chance to unlock "enhanced rewards and benefits".
What To Know About The Pass Royale Rework
The main change is that the Gold Pass will be removed entirely. The updated Pass Royale will consist of the new Diamond Pass and a reworked version of the Free Pass.

The revamped Pass Royale will offer rewards similar to the previous system but with a higher chance of obtaining better items such as Lucky Drops, Evolution Wild Shards, and Animated Banners.
You can find an overview of the rewards available for the Diamond Pass and Free Pass below:

As we mentioned, these changes will be rolled out in the coming weeks as the game gears up for the coming season. That said, the Gold Pass will be suspended from the Supercell Store after September 25.
Then, on October 2, a new update will be released where the September season and its respective Pass will remain active for a brief time. Finally, on October 7, the Gold Pass will be removed from Clash Royale and will be replaced with the new Diamond Pass and Free Pass.
