Square Enix has announced that Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a free-to-play, 3v3 team battle arena game, will soon be available on iOS and Android devices.

It builds upon the popular crossover series that first began in 2008 with the release of Dissidia Final Fantasy. A few major titles and prologues later, and it has become a classic RPG franchise known for its unique take on combat-based action and inclusion of Final Fantasy characters.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will feature "warriors brought to life with stunning cel-shaded graphics" and "simple controls that let you play with just one hand."

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Slated For Release Soon

Square Enix has confirmed that Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will be launched worldwide on March 23, 2026 (PDT).

Once Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is released, players can dive into 3v3 matches, where two teams and a horde of roaming monsters clash against one another. Each side will race to defeat the boss, rather than the other team, to win.

The story is set in modern-day Tokyo and follows the events that take place after a blue crystal appears in the heart of the city. Mysterious energy begins to pollute the crystal, resulting in monsters appearing and terrorizing the city's inhabitants. The only hope is swift warriors known as 'Ghosts'.

Players can currently pre-register for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy through the App Store and Google Play Store. They can also sign up by heading to the game's official website.

Rewards will be available for those who pre-register upon the game's launch. This includes MogPay Points, Draw Tickets, Growth Eggs, and more.

First released on the PSP in 2008, Dissidia Final Fantasy combined fast-paced, 3D arena combat with RPG-style progression. It was hailed for its unique gameplay that allowed players to customize abilities and summon classic icons like Ifrit and Shiva.

Notably, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy would only be the second mobile game in the entire franchise. The first was Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, an RPG initially launched in 2017, but concluded service in early 2024.
