All The New Gameplay Features Coming in the EA FC Mobile 26 Update

The new features coming in the EA FC Mobile 26 update can be divided into two key aspects: Gameplay and mechanics. We'll focus on the novel gameplay features first.

One of the changes that most players will look forward to is the overhauled Referee System. According to EA, it will "address incorrect foul calls from live collisions and non-tackle situations." This will reduce the number of unfair decisions that can negatively affect a match's outcome.

Another aspect EA is addressing is the infamous (and rather unfair) Kickoff Rush tactic, where players tend to get an advantage by booting the ball deep into their opponent's half. The new update will make it so that lofted passes will have a longer travel time, and the long passing attribute will have a greater influence on their accuracy.

Crossing and heading will also receive a major upgrade. The two-player header system, which comes into play with crosses, will reward players who cross smartly. There will also be a greater impact from the 'Heading' attribute.

Moving on to new mechanics, the first one will be the introduction of Team Badges. You'll earn OVR and attribute boosts for your team by collecting and completing groups of specific player items

Rank Up items will undergo a rework, too. There will now be a separate Rank Up currency that players can use to rank up their players.

With this change, Training Levels will become a separate item from Rank Ups. This enables players to level up their players to Level 30 without needing them to be a Gold Rank. Overall, these two changes introduce greater flexibility to players in building their best team across all game modes.

Aesthetically, the new Matchmaking Lobby will be a welcome addition. This is a pre-match view where you can look at the kit your opponent has chosen and, in doing so, avoid kit clashes that can make the gameplay experience intolerable.
