Little Kitty, Big City is slated for a mobile release sometime in 2026, developers Double Dagger Studio confirmed in a recent announcement.

An exact launch date has yet to be confirmed, with the official press release simply stating "Late 2026". Players can currently pre-order the game through the App Store and Google Play Store.

A mobile release represents another step in the game's quest to improve its accessibility across platforms. Little Kitty, Big City was initially launched on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch on May 9, 2024. It was later brought to the PS4 and PS5 on the same day in 2025.

Little Kitty, Big City Will Bring Its Charming Gameplay To Mobile

The game follows a "curious little kitty with a big personality", who finds themself lost in the heart of a strange but vibrant Japanese city. Ultimately, players must help the cat return to its owner's apartment.

Stylized as a single-player adventure title, players can explore the city, befriend other animals, and customize their cat's appearance with a variety of adorable paraphernalia.

The game has drawn comparisons to 2022's Stray, whose story focuses on a stray cat who plunges into a dystopian world. However, Little Kitty, Big City showcases a more charming and upbeat aesthetic, with plenty of quirky activities sprinkled between pivotal story moments.

Little Kitty, Big City proved to be a massive success soon after its launch. The indie game had sold over 100,000 copies across multiple platforms two days after its initial release.

The recognition did not end there, as the game received critical praise from industry giants. It received a nomination for Best Family Game at the 2024 BAFTAs and won the Debut Game award at the 2024 Indie Game Awards.
