Netflix has announced a new FIFA World Cup 2026 game, which gives subscribers a way to experience the tournament beyond the broadcast.
Netflix has announced a new football game tied to the upcoming FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026. It will be launched in the summer of 2026 and will exclusively be available to Netflix members at no additional cost.
The project is a collaboration between Netflix, FIFA, and developer Delphi Interactive, and will be released as part of Netflix Games' expansive catalog of games.
Netflix is no stranger to experimenting with interactive entertainment, and this World Cup title is part of that broader strategy.
An Interactive Twist on the FIFA World Cup
According to the press release, the game is designed to be “fast to learn, thrilling to master, and built for anyone to jump in.” It will also have a strong focus on accessibility.
Rather than targeting hardcore simulation fans, Netflix says the goal is to capture the joy and emotion of football in a way that anyone can pick up and play. The game will be playable through the Netflix app on mobile devices and select TVs, with smartphones acting as controllers for TV play.
FIFA is changing the game.

Netflix President of Games Alain Tascan described the World Cup as “the cultural event of 2026,” adding that the company wants to let fans celebrate their passion for football by bringing the game directly into their living rooms. He noted that Netflix’s approach is about stripping football back to its roots and making it easy for everyone to enjoy.
Meanwhile, FIFA President Gianni Infantino called the partnership “a key milestone in FIFA’s commitment to innovation in football gaming,” highlighting the opportunity to reach a global audience of fans through Netflix’s platform.
A major point emphasized in the announcement is that the game will be free for all Netflix subscribers.
Delphi Interactive also shared its enthusiasm for the project, stating that the team aims to create a football game that feels approachable, fun, and worthy of the world’s biggest sporting event.
While the official title and detailed features have not yet been revealed, Netflix confirmed that more information will be shared closer to the game's launch.
