ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. have announced that the Snapdragon Pro Series, the world's largest multi-genre mobile esports competition, has broken several milestones during Year 3. This included exceeding previous records on audience engagement, player participation, and viewership.

Sam Braithwaite, VP of Game Ecosystems, Mobile at EFG stated:

Mobile esports isn’t the future – it’s the now. After facilitating nearly 1 billion matches during Year 2, we’re already engaging nearly 2.8 million players globally across seven of the biggest mobile titles. As we enter Season 6 in regions around the world, there’s never been a better time to step into the mobile arena.

The most recent competitive cycle, Season 5, was particularly significant in terms of milestones as official broadcasts garnered 235 million views for a total of 23 million hours watched. Additionally, the ecosystem had nearly 2.8 million unique participants across 61,000 unique teams.

A standout event in Season 5's proceedings was the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge Finals in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The three-day event was one of the most-watched and most-attended events in the history of the Snapdragon Pro Series. It accounted for over 65,000 in-person attendees, a peak concurrent viewership of 888,710, and over 11.8 million hours watched.

The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship hosted in DreamHack Atlanta also garnered impressive numbers. It had over 19 million total viewers and a peak concurrent viewership of 270,000 people. This resulted in over 1.8 million hours watched.

With Season 6 on the horizon, EFG and Qualcomm will be using this momentous past season to springboard their ambitions for the upcoming competitive cycle.

EA Sports FC Mobile will be making its debut in the Snapdragon Pro Series. The popular soccer mobile game will be the first title from Electronic Arts to join the competition's extensive list of games.

The competition will be offered in Latin America for the upcoming season, with the Open Qualifiers scheduled to run throughout November and is now open for registration. The next stage, the Qualifier Finals, will be held between November 10 and 17. This will build up to the grand finale, the LATAM Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024, a live event held in São Paulo, Brazil, between December 14 and 15. It will showcase the best 12 players from the region.

Sam Turkbas, EA's Senior Director & Commissioner of Football Esports, commented:

We are delighted that EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile will be part of the LATAM Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024. FC Mobile allows players around the globe to realize their football dreams on the virtual pitch. We are excited to see the best players in LATAM have the opportunity to qualify and compete in-person at the finals in Brazil.

In addition to this, the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters will return in April 2025 with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It will be held in Southeast Asia for the first time and will invite the best teams from participating regions for the game's first global Snapdragon Pro Series title.
