Everything you need to know about the latest iOS 18.6 security update!

Apple has finally released the iOS 18.6 update, addressing the issue where the Photos app wasn't able to generate Memories, the videos based on your past photos, as intended.
The update also introduced changes to the Mail Drafts. With the 18.6 update installed, the remote content may be loaded even when the 'Load Remote Images' setting is turned off.
Apart from that, they also made some changes to the Apple Store's guidelines for apps in the European Union under the Digital Markets Act.
That said, since iOS 18.6 was a Security Update, we got some major security fixes in Apple’s Safari WebKit engine related to memory handling and denial of service.
Among these security fixes, there are two in particular that you must know about. These are:
- Issue: Passcode may be read aloud by VoiceOver
- Issue: Privacy Indicators for microphone or camera access may not be correctly displayed
Both are now fixed.
The next update, which is the iOS 26 version update, is scheduled to arrive this September as announced by Apple during this year's WWDC Keynote.
