Talents are special attributes that can help Heroes during matches in Arena of Valor. They come in a variety of effects, advantages and requirements. Let's take a look at all of them in the game!

Guide to Talents in Arena of Valor

Talents are unlocked as players progress their Arena of Valor accounts over time. They have their own merits and the developers have introduced an added level of strategy to the game with these Talents as you can only choose one! This means that you have to pick wisely and tailor your Hero choices or the way you play around them.

There are a total of nine Talents in Arena of Valor. Let's take a look at them!

Daze

Daze is a multi-purpose Talent that can stun nearby enemies for a brief period of time. Due to this, it is perfect to use if you'd like to escape from enemies, break a chain of incoming attacks (or channeled skills) or use it as a battle initiator.

The full details are below:

  • Level Required: 13
  • Effect: Stuns all nearby: enemies for 0.75 seconds. Following this, they will be slowed by 20%. Their physical defense is reduced by 28 + 2* hero Level. Magic defense is also reduced by 14+ 1 hero Level for 2.5 seconds
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Enfeeble

Enfeeble replaced the Disrupt Talent in Arena of Valor in the Patch at the beginning of 2022.

The full details are below:

  • Level Required: 11
  • Effect: Reduces the damage of nearby enemies by 20% and increases your damage reduction by 20% for 4 seconds. This effect does not stack with other items or abilities
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Execute

Execute acts like a finishing move as once activated, it can dispatch an enemy with devastating true damage that even high HP Heroes like Warriors stand no chance

  • Level Required: 3
  • Effect: Immediately attacks a nearby Hero and delivers true damage that is equal to 16% of the HP the enemy hero has lost
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds

Flicker

Flicker can either be used to escape battle or initiate one. As this Talent allows Heroes to transport themselves through unpassable terrain and objects, this is somewhat overpowered. It's incredibly effective for melee Heroes like Tanks or Warriors who can use Flicker and their abilities to deal great damage.

  • Level Required: 15
  • Effect: Teleports your hero a short distance
  • Cooldown: 120 seconds

Heal

Heal is a good Support Talent that replenishes HP and provides a brief increase in movement speed. Though it can be used at the end of battles, it's best to activate this talent during the height of battles so that you're given that brief movement speed and health that is useful when catching any fleeing opponents.

The full details are below:

  • Level Required: 9
  • Effect: Your Hero and nearby teammates instantly recover 15% HP and gain 15% movement speed for 2 seconds
  • Cooldown: 120 seconds

Punish/Frostbite

The Punish Talent delivers significant True Damage when activated. It's especially useful to speed up the process of Jungling or deal fatal damage to monsters. Punish is upgraded to Frostbite when a Tier 2 Jungling item is purchased.

The full details are below:

  • Level Required: 5
  • Effect: Deals 800 True Damage to nearby minions and monsters and stuns them all for 1 second. If Punish/Frostbite hits an enemy hero, the effect is spread to a nearby non-hero
  • Cooldown: 30 seconds

Purify

Purify is a powerful talent than can remove negative status effects or debuffs on your Hero. It's perfect to use if you are under heavy fire from enemy Heroes. This Talent also has the added benefit of granting Immunity for a brief period of time - perfect for those big battles as a tank, warrior or carry.

  • Level Required: 13
  • Effect: Removes all debuffs and control effects on yourself while gaining immunity from them for 1.5 seconds
  • Cooldown: 120 seconds

Roar

Roar is a useful Talent that can be used to quickly burst down lone enemy Heroes due to it granting increased resistance, attack damage, and health recovery.

The full details are below:

  • Level Required: 7
  • Effect: Increases Resistance by 25% and attack damage by 10% and recovers 2% Max HP every second for 6 seconds
  • Cooldown: 60 seconds

Sprint

Sprint is a Talent that is highly situational that is best used for ranged Heroes. It can be used to catch up to far away enemy Heroes or to escape ambushing opponents.

  • Level Required: Available from the beginning of the game
  • Effect: Removes movement speed reduction effect and increases movement speed by 70%, then slows down to a 30% increase over 10 seconds
  • Cooldown: 100 seconds
