The company behind the widely popular Cookie Run franchise, Devsister, is in crisis, as reported by a Korean outlet, thisisgame.

Over the past six quarters, the company has been at a loss, and the trend is continuing as every attempt made is a failed one.

Not only that, but even the employees' morale is down as the frustration among them rises with each passing day.

After the voluntary retirement of the top brass last November, "Co-CEOs Ji-hoon Lee and Jong-heun Kim announced that they would take on responsible management without compensation until management was stabilized."

But that, of course, is not enough to bring the company back to its former glory as in every new game they released, may it Brixity or Side Bullet, in an attempt to generate revenue to counter losses, these games further increased the loss as they were massive failures.

The company is not able to maintain an operating cost, either. As a result, there is a very big chance that Devsister's upcoming game, Cookie Run Over Smash, may also be in trouble.

2024 is going to be a decisive year for the company. If they keep making losses and aren't able to generate operating costs, this might be the end for Devsister.
