Riot has finally announced the new expansion, The Darkin Saga: Awakening, that will be coming to Legends of Runeterra! In the expansion stream, Kayn was revealed to be one of the five new champions. After that, several other new champions and cards were revealed. Each of these feeds into the dark, mysterious, and corrupted theme that Riot is building upon in the new expansion.

Riot has also revealed new Origins, card types, and keywords that will be arriving in the Darkin Saga: Awakening. Let's take a look at all of them and what their abilities are!

These cards, such as the Darkin Scythe and the Corrupted Scythe, are essentially weapons that can be equipped to a unit to grant them bonuses. If the unit leaves play, the Equipment will be returned to your hand.

You can place each Equipment at most once per round. Legends of Runeterra senior designer Jon Moormann revealed that Equipment cannot be silenced (working similar to Attach).
