Marvel Snap Spider-Man 2099 Deck Guide

With the new Spider-Versus season, you can guarantee many Spider-Men are running around. Let's take a look at Spider-Man 2099 and the decks he can be used in.

Spider-Man 2099, aka Miguel O'Hara, is one of the most interesting and violent villains in the entire Spider-Verse. Not only is he terrifying in the new Across the Spider-Verse film, but also is equally so in the comics and now Marvel Snap.

SecondDinner has done a phenomenal job of translating the physicality and brutality of Miguel within Marvel Snap. When played from some specific decks, he can be a killer on the game board. Thankfully for you, we have a few of those decks to cover below!

What Does Spider-Man 2099 Do?

Spider-Man 2099 is a 4/6 card, and when he's played, he doesn't do anything. What makes his skill activate is being moved by a card or a location. When moved to a location Spider-Man 2099 will destroy an enemy card that is located there, but only once.

High-Evolutionary and Spider-Men Control

If you're a current player of Marvel Snap, you know that High Evolutionary is one of the meta's current staples. High Evolutionary is a unique card that levels up every card in your deck that doesn't have any abilities.

In this deck, those would be Wasp, Cyclops, and Hulk. If you end a turn with extra energy Cyclops will inflict -1 at random to your opponent's cards played at his location.

The Hulk will get +2 for every turn you end with leftover energy. This is our straightforward win condition.

On the other side of the coin, we have the cards that are going to be used for control purposes and locking down locations for us. Spider-Man is a great card to play if you want to ensure that your opponent will not play a card at a specific location.

Storm is also great for this as well and is cheaper to use. We also need to talk about the big guy in the room, Spider-Man 2099.

His effect can be combo'd with Iron Fist and can result in a very important kill or lockdown on the opponent's end.

This is a phenomenal deck that can be played all the way up to Infinite Tier.

Spider-Movement Lockdown

This is another very good movement-focused lockdown deck. This deck enables you to move your opponent's cards to where you want them played.

Polaris moves your opponent's 1 or 2 Cost cards to her location, while Magneto can move their 3 - 4 Cost cards to his location.

Now we have ways to destroy the specific cards we want by using Spider-Man 2099 and Ghost-Spider/Iron Fist to flick Spidey 2099 to their location.

The other fun plays in this deck would be by using Spider-Man to cut off a location for your opponent. Then the final "fun" play for you, unfun for your opponent, is playing Magik to get a 7th round.

The Ham Brothers

2099 Control Marvel Snap

This is another control deck for our friend Miguel, Spider-Man 2099, to inhabit, but with a twist, we got Spider-Ham and Legion in the mix.

These three are the staple cards for our deck; everyone else is there to help secure, aka control, the match.

A perfect play would be using Spider-Man 2099 and then Iron Fist to flick him to the right.

Then at the location 2099 landed at, we want Spider-Ham to activate and put 2099 back into our deck and replace him with any of our cards that haven't been played so far.

This is a pie-in-the-sky scenario, but it's the fun idea the deck is built around. Outside of this, we have Shang-Chi to destroy any huge cards our opponents played.

Shadow King is also good if you are against an on-reveal deck. Legion is a great final card to play if you have a location specifically that would benefit your setup as well.
