Face off against a Hypercharged demon version of Kenji in the thrilling Oni Hunt game mode.

During Chapter 3 of the Battle for Katana Kingdom event in Brawl Stars, a new game mode known as 'Oni Hunt' will become available.
This action-packed PvE mode will see you go toe-to-toe with Kenji, who's now been transformed into a demonic Hypercharged version of himself, after eating some questionable wasabi.
The Oni Hunt game mode is a challenge in and of itself, but it can be extremely rewarding for those who can overcome it.
How the Oni Hunt Mode Works in Brawl Stars
Oni Hunt is a three-player game mode where you will take on a powerful Oni Kenji. Every time he is defeated, he will come back stronger and with even stronger attacks. There are a total of five stages you'll need to clear.

To win, you'll need to choose Brawlers that can effectively deal damage to Kenji while surviving his devastating damage. We'd also suggest analyzing his various attack styles, as this can give you a slight advantage in dodging his attacks.
You can respawn if you're defeated, but only if there's at least one teammate left standing. However, if all teammates are taken out, then you will all lose the match and will have to try again to beat the stage.
For some of you, this game mode might remind you of the Boss Fight mode that was previously available in Brawl Stars.
All the Rewards You Can Get in the Oni Hunt

You can get 7 days' worth of rewards by beating the five stages of difficulty each day. The rewards include Coins and Sushi Rolls.
You can find a breakdown of the reward you can get for beating each stage below:
Stage | Reward |
1 | 20 Coins |
2 | 30 Coins |
3 | 50 Coins |
4 | 1 Sushi Roll |
5 | 1 Sushi Roll |
That said, you can earn a total of 700 Coins and 14 Sushi Rolls if you beat all five stages during each of the seven days the game mode is around.
How Long Will the Oni Hunt Game Mode Be Available?
The Oni Hunt game mode will only be available during Chapter 3 of the Battle for Katana Kingdom event.
This means this mode will be active between May 15 and 22, 2025.
