Brawl Stars Balance Changes (July 2025): All Buffs & Nerfs

We'll dive into all the buffs and nerfs implemented to Brawl Stars during the July patch, including the ones affecting the Angels & Demons event.

A new set of balance changes has made its way to Brawl Stars recently. If you're unfamiliar with how this works, Supercell introduces a series of buffs, nerfs, and reworks to the game once every month.

They ensure that no Brawler or mechanic is too overpowered and improve the power levels of certain Brawlers, so that the playing field is level and fair to all.

In July's balance changes, a general batch of adjustments was implemented, but more importantly, a few Angelic abilities from the Angels & Demons event were nerfed.

General Balance Changes for Brawl Stars

Several buffs and nerfs were added. For the most part, they affect Brawlers' stats, Gadgets, and Hypercharges.

Buffs

  • 'Silver Bullet' Gadget cooldown reduced from 16 seconds→ 14 seconds
Cordelius
  • Base attack damage increased from 700 → 800
Emz
  • Super charge rate increased from 79 hits → 90 hits (now faster)
Jessie
  • Turret HP increased from 3,300 → 3,600
Meeple
  • Max HP increased from 3,000 → 3,200
  • Base attack daamge increased from 1,200 → 1,260
  • Reload speed decreased from from 1,900 → 1,700 (now faster)
Mico
  • Base attack damage increased from 1,090 → 1,140
Spike
  • Cooldown for both Gadgets reduced from 15 seconds → 14 seconds
Tick
  • Base attack damage increased from 640 → 680

Nerfs

  • Max HP reduced from 3,900 → 3,700
  • Dash reload speed increased from 1,900 → 2,100
  • Jump reload speed increased from 2,600 → 2,800
  • Both dash and jump now have the same unload speed and delay between attacks (100 milliseconds)
Charlie
  • 'Spider' Gadget cooldown increased from 18 seconds → 20 seconds
Draco
  • Hypercharge charge rate reduced from 35 → 25
  • Hypercharge bonus damage reduced from 15% → 5%

Hank

  • Max HP reduced from 5,600 → 5,200
Kaze
  • Hypercharge charge rate reduced from 55 → 45
Lumi
  • 'Ice' Gadget cooldown increased from 22 seconds → 23 seconds
  • Removed damage over time effect from 'Ice' Gadget
Mr. P
  • Gadget cooldown increased from 15 seconds → 17 seconds
Shade
  • Hypercharge charge rate reduced from 50 → 40

Balance Changes for Angels & Demons Event

As mentioned earlier, nerfs were introduced to the Angelic Abilities for the Angels & Demons event. This is because they've been rather overpowered, and this results in less-than-exciting matches. The nerfs include:

  • Reload speed reduced from 6,500 → 4,000
  • Angelic Projectiles' damage reduced from 800 → 700
  • Divine Protection Shield, activated by damage caused, increased from 5 hits → 6 hits
  • Max number of Angelic Pets summoned by Sam reduced from 6 → 3

Other Fixes

Besides all the dedicated balance changes, a few improvements were added to rectify certain issues. They include:

  • Bull losing his Super if being defeated while having the 'Stomper' activated
  • Draco's Spraying the incorrect Hypercharge Spray
  • Dynamike Pro Skin causing unintended damage with his Hypercharged Super
  • Jacky causing massive damage with the 'Counter Crush' Star Power equipped in Dodgebrawl
  • Janet's Damage scaling in Brawl Arena
  • RT being able to mark the Heist safe
  • Tank Brawlers with the Tank Trait fully charge their Supers when hit by a ball in Dodgebrawl.

The next batch of balance changes will be introduced to Brawl Stars in August 2025.
