In the next Brawl Stars update, Supercell will be reworking the Trophy Season to make it simpler, more rewarding, and more welcoming to players of various skill levels.

Well, well, well – Supercell has announced yet another rework that is slated to arrive in Brawl Stars soon. The Finnish developers have been on a long-running streak in recent times of revamping many crucial gameplay aspects.
At the beginning of 2024, we saw reworks to both the Fame and Power League system to ensure that it was more rewarding for players. In the previous year, the Brawl Pass and Club received similar overhauls. Now, Supercell has their eyes firmly set on reworking the Trophy Season system.
They reason that the current format is unnecessarily complex, not as rewarding as it should be, and unenjoyable for players who want to use their favorite brawlers (which is not possible in higher Trophy matches). Thus, a rework needed to happen. The changes are scheduled to take place at the end of October.
Trophy Season Rework, Explained

Supercell describes the reworked Trophy Season system as "more intuitive and more rewarding." Ultimately, this will result in a system that is completely different from the old version.
The first change to take note of is that there will now be 50 Trophy tiers for each brawler. Though this seems like a lot, it's quite simple to climb through them. You will progress through a Tier for every 20 Trophies earned. To reach the final tier, known as the Max Tier, you will need to have 1,000 Trophies. You will begin losing more Trophies than you win only after reaching 1,000 Trophies for a brawler.
The Trophies you earn after reaching 1,000 Trophies will still count but they will become something known as 'Season Trophies'. This currency will help you unlock the Trophy Box.
Speaking of which, the Trophy Box is a new reward item that you will receive instead of Bling at the end of each season reset. You can unlock it once a brawler you have reaches 1,000 Trophies or when you reach 1,500 Trophies in total with them. It comes in five levels: Small, Big, Mega, Omega, and Ultra. Naturally, the higher the level, the better the rewards. The box will mainly reward you with cosmetics.
The Trophy Season will begin and end (and effectively, reset) at the same time as the regular Brawl Pass season. The Season reset will always reduce all brawlers above 1,000 Trophies back to 1,000 Trophies. For brawlers below this threshold, there will be no Trophy reset.
Matchmaking After The Trophy Season Rework

One of the main objectives Supercell outlined in the rework was to match you with players of a similar skill level and make matchmaking faster.
The new matchmaking system will take into account the brawler's Trophies and, using this, will match you with other players who have a similar Trophy count. If you are above 1,000 Trophies for a specific brawler, you will match with other players with the same count.
As for minor details, Win Streaks will be tied to the brawlers that earn them. You'll need to play with this brawler to continue the streak. Besides this, the Underdog bonus will be removed after you reach 1,000 Trophies.
Leaderboards Will Be Introduced

In addition to the overall Trophy Season rework and matchmaking changes, Supercell will introduce two brawler leaderboards to Brawl Stars.
One is a 'Seasonal Leaderboard' that is reset at the start of every season. On the other hand, the 'All-Time Leaderboard' keeps track of the highest Trophy count you've ever had with a specific brawler.
Each time you climb to the Max Tier and make it to the Seasonal Leaderboard, you will earn a Prestige Icon for your profile. This cosmetic will showcase a number that increases each time you repeat this accomplishment.
