Masteries Are Gone From Brawl Stars – What Happens Next?

We'll be explaining what happens to Brawl Stars after the removal of the Mastery system.

Mastery was a Brawler progression system that rewarded players with items, such as Gold and Credits, the more they played and won matches with Brawlers.

However, since its introduction to Brawl Stars in early 2023, it has become "a niche feature where only a few very active players engage with the system," as Supercell stated. Only 11.8% of players own a Brawler Title – a reward for completing a Brawler's Mastery Track.

Mastery was a miss in the community. So, Supercell does what they always do when they notice something's not working out: They rework it or remove it. In this case, they're outright removing Mastery from Brawl Stars.

What Happens After Mastery Is Removed From Brawl Stars?

The main idea behind introducing Mastery was to provide players with another rewarding objective once they've completed their Daily and Seasonal Quests. The problem with that – and you could get the same answers from most Brawl Stars players – is that it was too much effort for too few rewards.

So, with Mastery being removed, a large portion of these resources, such as Bling, will be moved to the reworked Trophy Road. Most of which will be transferred as raw currency. The rest will be converted into Random and Legendary Starr Drops.

Some Credits will be converted into more Brawlers on the Trophy Road.

Breakdown of Rewards in a Post-Mastery Brawl Stars

For some of you hardcore players out there, this is where we'll dive into the numbers. From all 92 Brawlers in the roster at the moment, Masteries contain 230,500 Coins, 34,500 Power Points, and 24,225 Credits.

After Mastery is removed, 100,400 Coins and 10,800 Power Points will be moved to the Trophy Road. 80,364 Coins, 2,587 Power Points, and 16,606 Credits will be moved to the new Records system. The remaining difference will be converted into Legendary Starr Drops, Rare/Super Rare Brawlers in the Trophy Road, and Brawler Quests.

In summary, you'll find that there is a greater diversity in the reward system, especially if you're a seasoned player who has more Power Points in your inventory than you know what to do with. There will also be less grinding involved, with the rewards being, well, more rewarding.
