One of the most awaited and yet forgotten RPGs, Honor of Kings: World, is finally back from the dead as the game has gotten an official release window reveal during the Apple Event that took place on September 9, 2024, along with the next-in-line Apple devices, including the all-new iPhone 16 and it's superior models.

Honor of Kings: World is an action RPG and a spin-off of the widely popular MOBA Honor of King that was revealed a few years back. A handful of trailers gave us a look at the gameplay and a few other things, along with confirmation that the game engine is Unreal Engine.

While Wuthering Waves making its way into the Apple Event was a huge deal to me personally, I was surprised to see Honor of Kings: World. In fact, just like many other players, I was also on the side of "It is just one of those good-looking immersive Chinese action games that would never get a global release."

And guess what? Looks like I was wrong. During the Apple Event, we also got to see Honor of Kings: World's gameplay on the new iPhone 16, along with words from Apple that the title would feature an "ultra graphics mode" optimized for the iPhone 16s, along with improved visual enhancements like "powerful global illumination technology," "expanded draw distance" and much more.

Note

The visual features being exclusive to Apple's iPhone 16 series have not yet been confirmed.

While Tencent has not yet revealed the exact release date for Honor of Kings: World, we know the game will be released in 2025 on PC and mobile platforms.
