The next entry in the Aion franchise, Aion 2, is now available in Taiwan and South Korea, on Android and iOS, and PC via Purple.
The sequel to NCSOFT’s flagship free-to-play MMORPG franchise, AION, AION 2 has now officially been released in South Korea and Taiwan on the Android and iOS platforms, and on PC via NCSOFT’s Purple emulator.
While the game doesn't have a global release date yet, during the G-Star 2025 event, where NCSOFT unveiled Horizon Steel Frontiers, the first MMORPG in the Horizon franchise, it was shared that the global version is scheduled for 2026.
That said, the pre-downloads for AION 2 went live at 12:00 PM (KST) on November 16 through 11:59 PM on November 18 on both mobile and PC (via Purple) platforms.
While the game is not natively available globally at the moment, players can play it via Purple. But there's a catch. You must create an account with the location being either Taiwan or South Korea.
Inheriting the essence of AION, the eternal conflict between Elyos and Asmodians, AION 2 expands the franchise by offering a massive, seamless open world 36 times bigger than before, skill-based manual combat, an engrossing story, over 200 customisation options, and much more.
