Supercell is arguably one of the heavyweights in the world of mobile gaming. From developing classic titles such as Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars to newly-released titles such as Squad Busters, the Finnish developers are incredibly adept at creating addictive games with unique characters and gameplay.

So, when they announce a new game, the whole world of mobile gamers stops to listen to what they have planned. In their latest announcement, Supercell has revealed 'Project RISE' – a new mobile game set in the Clash universe. From just a surface level alone, we can expect big things from this game.

Project RISE's Expected Release Date

As the game has only been recently announced, there is currently no confirmed release date for Project RISE. The game is in its early stages of development and it will certainly be a while before it is launched globally.

Supercell launched the game's first playtest, a pre-alpha version, on July 7 and ended on July 14. It offers players a first look at the game mechanics, art style, and overall feel of Project RISE.

How Gameplay Will Look Like In Project RISE

Project RISE is an action, role-playing game (RPG) with roguelite elements and a specific focus on multiplayer gameplay.

In the announcement video, Supercell emphasized on cultivating a strong social community in the game. What does that look like? Simply, Project RISE will encourage players to work together with other players and different characters rather than a PvE experience.

You will select a character and team up with two other players to explore an area known as 'The Tower'. In each session, you will get to explore a different floor of the Tower and encounter various foes. You will need to exercise your character's special abilities to survive and make it through to the next floor. The ultimate goal is to get as high as possible.

For those who have been following Supercell for a while, the art style may be similar to Clash Heroes – a defunct game that the developers had seemingly ended development on in 2021 – and you'd be right. However, Supercell assures players that "everything else is built from scratch." Project RISE will remember the game by borrowing certain visual elements.

Besides Project RISE, Supercell is also working on a new fantasy, monster-hunting game known as mo.co. It will dive into a new universe separate from the Clash universe and so, will contain novel art styles, gameplay, and characters.
