Sanrio is officially stepping into the gaming spotlight with Sanrio Party Land, a colorful party game set to launch worldwide in Fall 2026 for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The title marks the debut release under the company's newly established Sanrio Games label.

Best known for global favorites like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll, Sanrio is leveraging its vast character library to create a social, multiplayer-focused experience that brings players together in a lighthearted way.

At its core, Sanrio Party Land is a party game set in a vibrant town populated by Sanrio characters. Players can create their own custom avatars, explore a shared space, and interact with familiar faces while jumping into a variety of activities.

The gameplay centers on mini-games and board-game-style challenges, which make it feel similar to other classic social party titles.

One of the key features highlighted so far is avatar creation, where players can design their own character before diving into the game's activities.

Sanrio Party Land isn't just a standalone release — it's part of a much larger strategy. Sanrio has also announced plans to launch around ten games over the next three years. The ultimate plan, as Sanrio previously outlined, is to evolve into a "global IP platformer," with the games business functioning as one of the vision's key pillars.

More information, including specific mini-games and modes, is expected to be revealed closer to launch. For now, it’s clear that Sanrio Party Land is aiming to be a welcoming, feel-good multiplayer experience when it arrives later this year.
