Global chat was a feature in Clash of Clans that allowed players to communicate with other players all over the world.
Clash of Clans is all about building the best possible Clan and rising to the top of the leaderboards through hard-fought victories and wars.
While that may sound simple, none of that would be possible without a good chat feature. Now, for all Clash of Clans players, Clan chat is the only place where you can converse with other players in your Clan.
However, if you are a veteran Clash of Clans player, you may remember global chat. It allowed you to communicate with any player in the game, regardless of whether you are part of the same Clan. It was removed in 2019 after the developers, Supercell, wanted to introduce a better Clan recruitment tool.
With global chat being such a popular space and still being shown in the Apple App Store, many are beginning to wonder if we will ever see a return of it to Clash of Clans.

Will Global Chat Ever Return To Clash Of Clans?
Supercell currently has no plans to re-add global chat to Clash of Clans.
As outlined in an article announcing their desire to sunset this communication feature, Supercell originally removed global chat because a lot of resources, such as support agents and anti-fraud measures, were needed for it to ensure that players stayed safe.
Due to the huge amount of resources global chat needed to remain safe for all players, Supercell preferred removing the chat as a whole. It's a classic case of prevention being better than the cure.
Additionally, global chat was meant as a way for players to find new Clans. Unfortunately, with the new Clan recruitment tools that have been gradually introduced to Clash of Clans over the years, such as the Notice Board, this would render global chat useless in finding new Clanmates and leave it more as a social tool with no true purpose.
Overall, it is unlikely we will ever see global chat return to Clash of Clans.
