Apex Legends Mobile Season 2 is now out and it marks the arrival of yet another mobile-exclusive Legend. This time it's Rhapsody and her boisterous companion Rowdy who are entering the fray.

Rhapsody is a budding DJ and at one with the music. Rhapsody also has a companion, Rowdy, who was created by her mother a famed engineer. Her abilities are all about sound and music and have the potential to uplift teammates - a true support Legend if we have ever seen one.

Keep reading to learn how to unlock Rhapsody, her abilities, her Legend progression perks, and her backstory.

How To Unlock Rhapsody

Players have two options for unlocking Rhapsody, either through the Season 2 Distortion battle pass or by purchasing her through the store.

Her purchase price is 750 Syndicate Gold, while it will take unlocking the Distortion battle pass until level 25 to get the necessary Rhapsody Pieces of which you need 10.

Take note, you do not have to purchase the battle pass, as Rhapsody Pieces are only earned through the free track. However, purchasing the battle pass will allow you to unlock it quicker with the use of XP boosts and mission cards.

Rhapsody's Abilities

Rhapsody is a support Legend who, with the help of her companion, Rowdy, can locate opponents using sound, speed up and heal teammates, and flash opponents. Here are her passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities.

Passive: Gifted Ear

  • You pick up and visualize sounds from an extended range

Tactical: Hype Anthem

  • Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect.

Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave

  • Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that block incoming sight and scans.

Rhapsody's Legend Progression Perks

Rhapsody will also have a number of Legend Perks, allowing you to upgrade Rhapsody the longer you play with her. Her Legend Perks increase her support and passive abilities making her a great teammate to those lucky enough to have her in their squad.

  • Volume Control: Squadmates affected by your Tactical temporarily gain Gifted Ear.
  • Sound Bleed: Occasionally see nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls.
  • Tuned In: Continuous running increases the range of Gifted Ear.
  • Reverb: The more squadmates your Tactical effects, the longer it lasts.
  • Harmony: Your Tactical increases the speed of revives and the effect of healing items.
  • Rowdy’s Rhythm: During your ultimate, squadmates standing near Rowdy reload faster.

To upgrade Rhapsody, you simply need to play games with using her and accrue Legend Mastery which you can then use to unlock your chosen perks.

You can have three perks active at one time, a General (blue), Finisher (purple), and Exclusive (red).

Rhapsody's Lore

Rhapsody is the daughter of a famed AI engineer who once worked for tech giant Pythas Inc. but was subsequently fired for discovering company secrets.

Buried in false debt, the family had to relocate to Neon Dunes, a dangerous nightlight district. It was here that Raphosdy, who always had an ear for music, honed her craft and became a DJ of some renown. So much so that she was booked for a gig on the wealthy side of town and, sensing the perfect opportunity to wipe her family's debt, installed a virus that was meant to do just that.

However, things turned took a turn for the worse. The virus, designed by her mother, took down the whole financial district. Pythas would learn of the attack, and with the family now doubly indebted to the corporation, Rhapsody was forced to enter the Apex Games under the megacorps banner.

But Rhapsody has other plans. Earn enough money through the Apex Games and then end this cynical “sponsorship deal” with Pythas so she, and her family, can finally be free.
