Controller is a type of Brawler Class that describes Brawlers who are particularly adept at dominating or controlling areas on the map. Their arsenal often includes powerful area-of-effect (AoE) abilities that allow them to deal damage over a wide area.
On paper, they are effective against enemies who are in weak positions on the map. Controllers are decent at medium- to long-range combat, but they can be somewhat vulnerable in close combat against Brawlers like Assassins or Damage Dealers. Overall, we think they're great in game modes such as Hot Zone and Gem Grab.
There are currently 18 Controller Brawlers in Brawl Stars. Each of them possesses a unique set of abilities and, with it, a unique set of advantages and disadvantages. To help you figure out which Brawlers are top-tier and which are at the bottom, we've ranked them all in a tier list.
All Controller Brawlers in Brawl Stars, Ranked
Our tier list begins with the S-tier and ends with the F-tier. Naturally, the S-tier showcases the Brawlers who are the very best in Brawl Stars at the moment. Meanwhile, Brawlers in the F-tier are the worst in the game. The logic is that the power levels of the Brawlers decrease as you move from top to bottom.
We have ranked each Controller depending on a few key factors. The main ones are the effectiveness of their AoE abilities, their skills at crowd control, and their versatility in the current meta. We also considered their stats, such as their HP and attack output.
That said, here is our tier list ranking all the Controller Brawlers in Brawl Stars:

Best Controllers in Brawl Stars
The best Controllers in Brawl Stars are Finx, Meeple, and Mr. P.
Finx is one of the most popular picks and one of the few Brawlers with a very high win rate. His biggest strength is his Super, which allows him to manipulate time over an area for a limited time. With his Gadgets and Star Powers active, he can either speed up allied projectiles or slow down enemy ones. It's perfect for controlling a contested area.
Meeple is amazing at manipulating the area around him, which is why he functions as a good Controller. His Super enables him and his allies to shoot through environments, and his "Mansions of Meeple" Gadget can imprison and damage enemies in a small area.
Finally, Mr. P is a Brawler who's been on the rise in the current meta. This is primarily due to his main attack and Super. On one hand, his main attack works similarly to an artillery projectile as it can leap over obstacles, great at damaging enemies from afar. When activated, his Super deploys a base that spawns penguin robots that follow and attack enemies.
Worst Controllers in Brawl Stars
Willow is arguably the worst Controller Brawler in the game at the moment.
Unfortunately, she cannot control an area effectively, and her low HP and slow attack speed don't help with that. Yes, she may be able to control enemies with her Super, but that is ultimately quite weak, as it can't make a meaningful impact on the game most of the time.
