We'll show you all the key details about how the Vines spell works in Clash Royale.

The Vines spell is an Epic-rarity card that will be introduced to Clash Royale in September 2025 during Season 75. It costs just 3 Elixir and, as such, can be a cheap inclusion to your deck.
But don't be fooled by its low price because it can be a game-changer when deployed correctly. Vines has a strong area-of-effect (AoE) ability that allows it to entangle enemies caught within its radius. This makes the spell potent regardless of the situation you're in. Overall, it can stop attacks from your foes and even help you stage your siege against the enemy Towers.
How the Vines Spell Works in Clash Royale
The Vines spell can immobilize both troops and buildings by stunning and grounding them for 2 seconds. It will only target the three highest-HP enemy units.

Enemies caught within the spell's 2.5 tile radius will take five ticks of damage. They also won't be able to attack.
The in-game description for Vines is as follows:
Entangle the three highest hitpoint troops or buildings in the area, stunning them while doing damage. If the troop is in the air, they'll ground them. Don't worry, they'll grow on you!
An interesting mechanic worth noting about the Vines spell is its ability to ground air troops. Once grounded, they can be attacked or targeted by ground units for the duration of the spell. This makes this spell especially effective if you wish to dispatch any pesky airborne troops.
Altogether, the Vines' ability can be used both offensively and defensively. Offensively, you can trap defending units while you attack the more important targets. Defensively, you can ensnare enemies, like PEKKA or Giant, while you damage them. However, Vines can be weak—and even countered—by enemy swarms, so keep that in mind when building your deck.
