Among Us Crewmates — 1. Crewmates (Among Us)

Starting with a rather obvious one – the **Crewmates** from *Among Us*. From the rise of the use of "sus" to many of its sound effects being used in reels, the game has spawned a wave of various memes since its release. However, none is as memeable as the Crewmates. Memes featuring these astronaut-like characters were almost inescapable in 2020, and they continue to this day.

2. Hog Rider (Clash of Clans)

We're not surprised that the **Hog Rider** (from games such as *Clash of Clans* and *Clash Royale*) has become a bit of a punchline for many jokes online. His iconic "Hog Rider!" scream, paired with his rather flamboyant personality, makes for meme material that has been used constantly over the years. We'd be lying if we said our ears haven't been hurt by the loud Hog Rider screams randomly placed in reels.

3. Paimon (Genshin Impact)

If you've played *Genshin Impact* before, then you'd know Paimon as the beloved character who accompanies you on your journey through Teyvat. But, outside of the game, she's become a mascot for memes. Her "Emergency Food" line has become quite an inside joke in the game's community, and her cartoonish expressions have been used in many memes, especially when joking about pulls.

Jake Subway Surfers — 4. Jake (Subway Surfers)

**Jake** has been meme'd in an endless number of TikToks and videos where *Subway Surfers* gameplay plays in the background to keep you focused. You may have seen his face all too often in these reels, but chances are you've seen his back as he jumps around obstacles!

5. Talking Tom (My Talking Tom)

Everyone has probably played a bit of *My Talking Tom* before. And if you had, you knew **Talking Tom** as a virtual pet who can mimic what you say, but in a high-pitched voice. Over the years, he's been turned into memes thanks to his voice, cartoonish (yet innocent) reactions, and interactions with other characters in the game's expansive universe.

Clash Royale King — 6. King (Clash Royale)

*Clash Royale's* **King** has become the punchline of numerous online jokes due to his iconic laughing emote. It has become a rather meme symbol for tolling and BM (bad manners, if you didn't know) in gaming. On top of this, his other expressive emotes have been copied in various reels by people – in some cases, entire classrooms worth of people – since they're extremely over-the-top and expressive.

Plants VS Zombies Mobile Peashooter — 7. Peashooter (Plants vs. Zombies Mobile)

The **Peashooter** is one of the troops in the cult-classic *Plants vs. Zombies* franchise. Now, you may be asking yourself, "What's so funny about that?" Well, to the PvZ community, it's nearly everything about its humble nature. In some memes, the Peashooter is shown as a "Chad" because of how he's able to defeat entire hordes of zombies, while in others, he's being made fun of for being so basic. The developers have even acknowledged the memes to the extent that they've referenced them in one of the PvZ games.

A long time ago, the main cast of characters from the destruction-based mobile game franchise, *Angry Birds*, was transformed from their usual 2D selves into 3D illustrations by artist Sam Spratt. Needless to say, these realistic yet eerie depictions of **Red Bird, Yellow Bird, Blue Bird, Black Bird,** and many others were turned into some rather interesting memes with crude, plain-text captions.
