Oppo Find X3 Pro

15. Oppo Find X3 Pro

The Oppo Find X3 Pro is on this list largely because of its smooth, liquid-like camera bump design that flows seamlessly into the back panel instead of awkwardly sitting on top of it. That continuous curvature makes the phone look impressively sculpted. This design feature, paired with the phone's glossy gradient finishes and curved AMOLED display, gives it a really refined look and feel.

Nokia Lumia 920

14. Nokia Lumia 920

In 2012, the Nokia Lumia 920 proved that colorful phones could look sophisticated and still have decent specs. Its bright polycarbonate shell gave it a playful personality, but the neat unibody construction makes it feel incredibly polished at the same time. Nokia wasn't afraid to release bold yellow, cyan, and red versions, and those colors became a huge part of why the phone remains memorable to this day.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

13. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung's curved display feature peaked with the Galaxy S6 Edge, in our opinion. It's a phone that genuinely looked advanced for a device released in 2015. The edges are waterfall-like and blended into the frame so smoothly that the screen almost appeared to float in your hand. Combine this with the phone's glossy glass back and vibrant AMOLED display, and the entire phone had a satisfying aesthetic that instantly stood out from every other Android device at the time.

Motorola Razr V3

12. Motorola Razr V3

It may be a bit of wild inclusion, but we feel strongly about this one. The Motorola Razr V3 became iconic because it made flip phones feel not only functional but also super stylish. Its razor-thin profile, metallic finish, glowing keypad, and "clamshell" structure created an aesthetic that was futuristic for a release in 2004. At a time when most phones were bulky and awkward-looking, the Razr felt sleek, expensive, and unbelievably cool to carry around.

Black Berry Passport

11. BlackBerry Passport

The BlackBerry Passport looked unlike anything else on the market when it was launched in 2014. It had a sharp square shape, an ultra-wide display, and its iconic physical keyboard. It really shouldn't have worked, but somehow the unusual proportions gave it an appearance that felt classy and professional. Paired with its touchpad gesture feature and matte materials, the phone has a distinct identity that still feels memorable today.

Essential Phone PH 1

10. Essential Phone PH-1

The Essential Phone PH-1 looked minimalist to an almost extreme degree. Its titanium frame, ceramic body, and ultra-thin bezels gave it a clean and modern aesthetic, which was quite the breath of fresh air during its release in 2017. The tiny camera cutout at the top was also one of the earliest examples of a great edge-to-edge design before notches became common everywhere. Essentials is no longer around, but this model certainly captured people's attention, especially with its teal-colored back.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro

9. Huawei Mate 40 Pro

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has one of the most distinctive circular camera designs ever. The Leica camera partnership and the camera's symmetrical ring layout feel like they're suited for an actual camera rather than a phone. The device, which also features Huawei's signature curved display and premium glass finishes, gives it a bold but elegant presence.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

8. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a slider phone that can only be described as what happens when you cross a PlayStation controller with a smartphone. Honestly, its appearance alone makes it unforgettable. Sliding out the gaming controls from under your main screen felt impressive at the time, while the curved ergonomic design makes it easy to game for decent periods of time. Its design was definitely ahead of its time, and really captured the excitement of integrated gaming hardware in a way few phones ever have.

Asus ROG Phone 6

7. Asus ROG Phone 6

On the topic of gaming phones, they don't usually go overboard with aggressive aesthetics, but the Asus ROG Phone 6 managed to do that. It looks flashy at first, but the added components actually serve a purpose. The crisp rear display, angular lines, and RGB accents gave it a cyberpunk-like appearance that certainly makes it stand out. It may not be for everyone, but it worked like a dream for those who want a gaming phone that delivers on its objectives.

Nothing Phone 1

6. Nothing Phone 1

Nothing has been producing some of the most interesting mobile phones in recent years. This was exactly the case with its debut phone, the Nothing Phone 1. The transparent-inspired design immediately grabbed attention in a market where a lot of devices looked alike. Its exposed aesthetic and glowing "Glyph" lights makes it feel different without becoming overly gimmicky. Love it or hate it, the phone managed to create an identity that people could recognize instantly from across a room.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

5. Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has quite the bold design, mainly because of its massive rear secondary display. At the time of its release in 2021, the camera bump had become a topic of much conversation. This model managed to do something about it that's rather unique. It introduced a tiny screen next to the camera module that instantly made the phone look clean and futuristic. Its ceramic body and phenomenal camera capabilities are a sight to behold in all honesty.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

4. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Released in 2024, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 helped push the idea of a foldable smartphone toward a cleaner, more refined design with flatter surfaces, sharper symmetry, and a cleaner finish. In our opinion, it looks more balanced than earlier generations, especially when folded. The subtle floating display effect and improved camera layout give it a smoother look that feels like a tech product designed with precision.

I Phone Air

3. iPhone Air

The iPhone Air is Apple's boldest design-first iPhone in years, as it's built around one clear idea: extreme thinness without completely sacrificing performance. At just around 5.6mm thin (excluding the camera bump), the phone is noticeably lighter and slimmer than other iPhones. We've tested it in person, and frankly, you can feel the weight difference between the iPhone Air and other devices. The titanium frame and polished glass finish give it a very clean, almost futuristic look, especially in lighter color options.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

2. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

There have been many generations of the Galaxy Z Flip, but for us, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is beautifully designed. It really brought back the nostalgia of the flip phone era while still looking undeniably modern. Its compact folded shape, shiny finish, and large cover display made it feel stylish. On top of that, Samsung embraced fun pastel color options, which helped the device feel more like a fashion accessory than just another phone.

I Phone 1st Gen

1. iPhone (1st Gen)

The original iPhone is one of those rare devices that still looks iconic even by today's standards. It was simply revolutionary. Its clean, minimalist slab design basically set up the template for every modern smartphone. With its aluminum back, circular home button, and intuitive touch screen, the first-generation iPhone had a rather humble appearance compared to other phones at the time. Everything about it was simple and intentional, and that is what makes it so special to us.
