Supercell has announced a slate of changes that will effectively rework the Trophy System in Brawl Stars.
For the longest time, the Trophy System has been a topic of many discussions in the Brawl Stars community. Some wish for it to be more rewarding, some argue that it feels like too much of a grind, and others simply feel it needs a complete overhaul.
These sentiments and more were the reasons why the Trophy System has been reworked several times over the past few years. The most recent change came in 2024, which introduced Trophy Boxes and a more simplified system structure.
Now, in 2026, the Trophy System is scheduled for another rework, with Supercell promising a huge slate of incoming changes.
What's Being Removed From The Current Trophy System?
Many aspects of the Trophy System will be removed in the coming update. The biggest is the removal of the Trophy Season and the Trophy Box system.

We're applying changes to the current Trophy System after the update maintenance (February 24th), and there are some things you should know:
The Trophy Season and the Trophy Box system will be removed

All players will receive their last Trophy Box based on the number of Season Trophies they had before the update. All players will also receive an Ultra Trophy Box after the update is fully deployed.
Ultra Trophy Boxes and the other Trophy Box tiers will remain in Brawl Stars, but they will only make the occasional appearance in community events.
After the rework takes place, all Brawlers above 1,000 Trophies will be reset to 1,000 Trophies.
The Leaderboard Prestige will also be removed and will be moved to a Legacy stat in your profile.
What's Being Added in the New Trophy System?
Supercell's vision for the reworked Trophy System is one that "encourages every player to push further". How will that look?
The new system aims to reward both high-skill and consistent players with a Brawler Title that appears in a new color.
Steps will be taken to improve the matchmaking experience, with a new MMR system being employed to aid this.
Additionally, a "Resource-Rush" event will be introduced to Brawl Stars. It rewards players with more currency for each match won, and offers players another way to earn Buffies.
When Will We Know More About The Reworked Trophy System?
More information about the Trophy System rework will be revealed in the next Brawl Talk, which is scheduled to take place on February 21, 2026.
This Brawl Talk will also share information on Supercell's efforts to offer players more opportunities to earn Buffies in Brawl Stars. It's been confirmed that Buffies will soon be available in seasonal Mega Quests, and that there will soon be a 79-Gem offer that allows players to purchase one random Buffie.
The Trophy System rework will be deployed to Brawl Stars in an update on February 24, 2026.
