The latest Clash of Clans update introduces items such as Magic Snacks and Chests as well as novel features like Supercharge and Treasure Hunt. Here's everything you need to know about this exciting patch!
A new update has landed in Clash of Clans just in time for the start of the tabletop-RPG-themed September season. It will improve the game through a variety of means, but not through the conventional way we're used to with the addition of new troops or spells.
Instead, Supercell has opted to answer a few of the community's burning questions – particularly about Clan recruitment – and to provide alternative ways for players to earn rewards as well as improve their Home Village.
Overall, this update aims to launch minor, yet pivotal, features that will steer the game into a direction where the gameplay experience is a bit more well-rounded for all types of Clash of Clans players.
Buff Your Buildings With The New Supercharge Ability
Available once you reach Town Hall 16, the Supercharge ability allows you to temporarily buff the stats of buildings that are currently at their maximum level.
To Supercharge a building, you'll need to spend resources such as Gold and have a spare Builder to work on it.
Once completed, these buffs will remain active on the building until a new level for it is released. After which, you'll need to Supercharge the structure yet again if you want to keep the buffs going.
A building can be Supercharged up to three times. The higher the number of Supercharges a structure has, the more stat buffs it will receive.
Earn Chests From The New Treasure Hunt Event
Treasure Hunt is a new limited-time event format that will occasionally take place in Clash of Clans. During this event, hidden Chests can be found in enemy bases whenever you enter a multiplayer battle.
You can find up to three Chests every 48 hours. Once you find all of them, you'll need to wait until the time resets to be available to obtain more Chests. It's important to note that only one Chest can be found in each base.
Chests are available in four different rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Depending on the rarity, you can earn prizes such as resources, Hero Equipment, Magic Items, cosmetics, and the new temporary boost items known as Magic Snacks.
Find New Clan Mates Using The Clan Notice Board Feature
The September update will make it easier for both players to find new Clans and Clans to find new members with the introduction of the Clan Notice Board.
This nifty feature allows a Clan's Leader and Co-Leaders to post a custom message, replete with a custom background image, on the notice board for all players to see. Messages will be suggested to players who fit the Clan's requirements.
If you're a player using the Notice Board, you will be presented with messages that not only fit with your search requirements but also messages from Clans whose member activity aligns with yours.
Legendary Sceneries Are Here To Improve Your Home Village's Appearance
Legendary Sceneries are a new type of Scenery that is 6x larger than the regular Scenery for your Home Village. According to Supercell, it will have "incredibly details large-scale regions and elements that have never been seen before in Clash of Clans." Additionally, they will have feature transition animations, cutscenes, and other visual elements.
Supercell stated that more of these types of sceneries will be released in the future. However, they will be released sporadically as they will need significantly more time to develop due to the many intricate details that they hope to incorporate in each Scenery.
