Jynxzi Left Frustrated As Supercell Overlooks His Role In Clash Royale’s Revival

Clash Royale’s comeback should’ve been a celebration. Instead, it’s turning into a controversy.

It’s wild how one short line on social media can sum up months of tension, but that’s exactly what happened when Jynxzi took to X and dropped what he called “probably the biggest spit in the face" he's ever seen.

If you’ve been following the Clash Royale world lately, you'll understand the frustration behind that. There’s a very real sense among fans — and now from Jynxzi himself — that Supercell haven't properly recognized the person who helped bring life back to their game.

The situation came to a boiling point after Supercell shared a blog post in which the developers celebrated Clash Royale's monumental growth in 2025.

Jynxzi Slams Supercell for Ignoring His Impact On Clash Royale

However, there was no mention of Jynxzi or how much his community contributed to the game's revival. For many, it's a rather glaring oversight given he’s one of the most popular gaming personalities online, with millions of followers across Twitch and YouTube who regularly watch his Clash Royale content.

Prior to Jynxzi playing Clash Royale on his streams, the game was in a weird place for a long period of time. People who had played for years drifted off. The game still had its die-hard crowd, but the wider community had begun dropping the strategic card battler.

Then Jynxzi started streaming the game, and suddenly there were headlines, memes, crazy game highlights, and genuine buzz surrounding Clash Royale.

Jynxzi was also responsible for bringing other massive streaming personalities to the game, such as iShowSpeed and xQc, which further shone the spotlight on the game. YouTube's largest creator, MrBeast, voiced his support by stating he only started playing Clash Royale because of Jynxzi.

Many players have begun protesting Supercell's disregard for Jynxzi by deleting Clash Royale from their devices. This includes fellow streamer Sketch, who vowed not to touch the game until Supercell acknowledged Jynxzi's impact.

Yet right now, it seems like Supercell’s official narrative about the game’s resurgence doesn’t include him. It's unclear why Supercell chose not to acknowledge Jynxzi.

What's clear is Jynxzi's very open criticisms of the game, which culminated in a video he posted on February 7th titled "I'm Quitting Clash Royale." In it, he states that he will be stopping Clash Royale content in light of new mechanics, namely Heroes and Card Level 16, that leaned heavily into pay-to-win mechanics and did not meaningfully contribute to the game.

Has Supercell Said Anything About The Situation?

Following the outrage and outpouring of support for Jynxzi, Supercell CEO and Co-Founder Ilkka Paananen updated the blog post in question and shared on X that it was to include "proper recognition of Royale creators whose passion — from tournaments to content to community building — was central to the game's best year ever."

His full amendment to the blog is as follows:

Since this blog was posted on 10th February, I've seen the reaction to the Clash Royale section and I want to address it directly. In short, I failed to acknowledge the role that creators, pro players, and the broader community played in Clash Royale's resurgence. That was my mistake — no one else's — and it runs counter to everything I believe about the impact creators have on our games and our business. I am sorry.

The intent was never to diminish anyone's contribution, but intent doesn't matter when the impact is real. I understand why it hurts, and that's on me.

Throughout 2025, we saw creators self-organizing tournaments, celebrating Royale through art and memes, and reminding millions of people around the world why Clash Royale is special. Creators like Jynxzi returned to the game with incredible passion, investing their own time, money, and energy into bringing Clash Royale back to cultural relevance — and introducing many new players, including some of the biggest names in streaming, to the game. That kind of love for Royale can't be taken for granted, and it deserves to be acknowledged loudly and clearly.

Paananen summarily took responsibility for this omission and further added that it was his mistake alone.
