Introduced in the November 2025 update, Crystals are a brand-new type of currency that you can earn in Clash Royale.

Crystals, like Gold and Gems, can be spent at the in-game Shop to unlock various cosmetics, which can be of great use if you've been dying to get your hands on Emotes and the like.

While Crystals are a currency, the manner in which you can add them to your inventory is slightly unconventional, and so, it's worth exploring that and other aspects of this shiny item.

How to Get Crystals in Clash Royale

You can obtain Crystals in Clash Royale whenever you receive Card copies for a Card that you've already maxed out. That said, any excess Cards will automatically be converted into Crystals the moment they hit this threshold.

For example, if you get 5 Cards for the Epic-rarity Barbarian Barrel, which you've already maxed out at Level 16, they will automatically be converted into 300 Crystals. This is because the conversion rate for 1 excess Epic Card is 60 Crystals.

Card Conversion Rate for Crystals

Speaking of conversion rates, we know you're curious to know what they are for other Card rarities. We've listed them out in the table below:

Card RarityCrystal Conversion Rate
1 Common Card1 Crystal
1 Rare Card6 Crystals
1 Epic Card60 Crystals
1 Legendary Card600 Crystals
1 Champion Card1,200 Crystals

Similar to Magic Items, you can only keep a limited number of Crystals in your inventory. You can see the number of Crystals you currently have by heading to the Magic Items section in the Collection tab.

As mentioned earlier, you can spend your hard-earned Crystals at the in-game Shop.
