Shanghai will become the global stage for football esports this September, as EA brings together top pros and creators for a series of high-stakes EA SPORTS FC MOBILE competitions.

EA is bringing nearly a week of football esports to Shanghai with the EA SPORTS FC Pro Champions Cup and FC Pro Mobile Festival, running September 9–14 at the Jingwu Gymnasium. Players will compete across FC Mobile and FC Online for a combined $365,000 prize pool.
Sam Turkbas, Senior Director of Esports Product at EA, praised the debut of FC Mobile and FC Online esports in 2024 and said the upcoming tournaments aim to “raise the stakes.” He added:
By reaching competitors and fans of FC Mobile and FC Online alike, we’re expanding the footprint of football esports to engage new regions and support the rise of new champions.
The event begins with the FC Pro Champions Cup, held from September 9–12, featuring Asia’s top FC Mobile and FC Online players in intense matches.
In the FC Online portion of the Cup, twelve elite teams will compete for a share of the $300,000 prize pool. The tournament will feature round-robin play before moving to single-elimination playoffs, culminating in the Finals on September 12.
Meanwhile, the FC Mobile section of the Cup will feature six regional finalists, who will compete for the title of FC Mobile Asia Champion and their share of a $60,000 prize pool. The grand final is scheduled for September 11, with the two remaining teams from the group stage and playoffs facing off.

Following this, from September 13–14, the FC Pro Mobile Festival will take place, featuring creators and pros from around the world.
Ten teams, each pairing a pro with a creator, will compete in round-robin play on Day 1. Qualifying teams will advance to single-elimination playoffs on Day 2, where only one team will remain, earning bragging rights and a share of the $5,000 prize pool.
The action from both tournaments will be livestreamed on the EA SPORTS FC MOBILE YouTube channel.
