The Fortnite Disney Universe is about to get even more attention!
After a few weeks of rumours and reports, Disney has finally named its Experiences Chief, Josh D’Amaro, as the next CEO of Disney, succeeding Bob Iger as the 9th CEO of a century-old company.
Josh has been leading the Experiences branch of Disney since 2020, which includes theme parks, resorts, cruises, and such, which have been the positive side of Disney's business as it has been profitable for years.

In fiscal year 2025, the Experiences generated $36 billion in annual revenue. It also employs around 185,000 people, making it a substantial part of Disney as a whole.
After years of success, the 54-year-old Josh D’Amaro will finally take over Bob Iger's role as the CEO, working towards improving the different intellectual properties and divisions under Disney.
So, how does it affect Fortnite or gaming in general?
On February 7, 2024, Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games for an equity stake in a multiyear project called Fortnite Disney Universe.
The main goal of this massive investment was to create a transformative ecosystem where players can play, watch, shop, and engage with Disney IPs like Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more!
Now, with Josh D’Amaro, we are reportedly getting a major push towards Fortnite Disney Universe, which will benefit all stakeholders.
We are keeping an eye on this, and once we have more specific details on this, we will be back with another report.
